P!NK STUNS AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

There isn’t really any way to open a review of P!nk’s current show other than to say Holy $hit!  After a trumpeter announced the first opening beats of “Get the Party Started,” the audience was stuck somewhere between the “Lady Marmalade” music video, the circus, and a forty-eight-hour rager. Dancers, musicians, and twisted light posts covered the stage.  Hanging forty feet above on a crystal chandelier swung P!nk.  It was complete sensory overload and it was only the opening track.

After the gasps and the “What the…?” and “How did she do that?” comments subsided and the crowd settled into an epic show.  P!nk had traveled around the world and returned back to New York for another stop on her Beautiful Trauma World Tour at Madison Square Garden and at no point during the performance did she disappoint.

Following the opening number, P!nk launched into the title track of her 2017 album, Beautiful Trauma and her classic, “Just a Pill.” Shortly thereafter a larger-than-life blow up Eminem puppet terrorized the stage (only later to be beat up by the Grammy winning artist) while she sang “Revenge.”  The mashup of “Funhouse” and No Doubt’s “Just a Girl” had viewers jumping in their seats and singing at the top of their lungs.  At times concert-goers get so lost in the show that they forget about P!nk’s incredible vocal range.  Her voice was on full display when she performed the ballad, “What About Us.”

When P!nk started the Beautiful Trauma World Tour, she had recently released her seventh studio album.  Now, after over a year since the tour began in Phoenix, she is celebrating the release of her eighth studio album, Hurts 2B Human. By the end of the night, only one question was left unanswered- who do we petition to get P!nk to continue her world tour for another year?
