Here at P&W, we love a good pop-punk song so are very excited to premiere the new video from We Were Sharks called “Problems,” which is off their forthcoming LP entitled New Low and is due out on 5-21-21.
The fast-paced video directed by Yeah! Films, is a wonderfully colorful and playful take that perfectly compliments the track’s energy. We really dig the chunky, yet rhythmic guitars, the way the bass and percussion work together, and the powerful lyricism that makes us want to hit the replay button again and again. What really shines in “Problems” is the delivery of the lyrics that Randy Frobel brings to the table and the seemingly effortless way he soars above the music.
“’Problems’ could be considered a typical song about a relationship. It’s about being with someone and passionately loving one another, being angry with one another, and overall, being stubborn. In the heat of the moment, we find ourselves saying things we never genuinely mean, and that’s where ‘problems’ can usually start.
